Philosophy
Bret Victor has spoken extensively about the concept of the dynamic medium, which refers to technology that allows for rich and flexible interaction between humans and computers.
He believes that the current state of technology limits the potential for true collaboration and creativity, and that a more dynamic medium is necessary to unlock the full potential of human creativity.
There is the need for technology that is more flexible, interactive, and intuitive.
By creating tools that allow for richer collaboration and more fluid communication between humans and computers, we believe that we can unlock new levels of creativity and innovation.

Dynamic
Use your hands to think. Most intellectual work relies on flat, intangible representations. Handheld objects as tools are rare but transformative.
Humane
In conversations, miscommunication is common. A new medium where people can show-and-tell, improvise dynamic simulations, and explore data spaces can solve this.
Contextual
Reading is media-to-person, but words fail to transfer ideas well. We need multi-channel written communication that's skim-able, transformable, and context-sensitive.
How might we design an intuitive and efficient knowledge navigation system that utilizes gesture inputs, and spatial medium to enhance the interaction between humans and technology?
